Hear NYC like you’ve never heard it before…🗽🎧🔈 Meet our local New Yorkers and explore the iconic Sounds of New York 🚖🌭🗽🏳️‍🌈.

In our first Sounds of a City episode, we meet Flower Tortilla. Originally from Texas, she has been performing drag in New York for three years and was drawn to the Big Apple by the artistic expression found on almost every street. “It’s this huge melting pot of different experiences,” she says. “Together we create this enormous sound that’s musical and beautiful.” Watch the episode on Norwegian’s IGTV channel. ✈️

Explore the authentic sounds of NYC by visiting Katz’s – Lower Manhattan’s famous Jewish Deli 🌭🥪 In our fourth Sounds of a City episode, we visit the Deli that opened 132 years ago, but “the sights, the sounds, the smells are exactly the same”, says owner Jake Dell. “The clanking of the plates. The yelling of the guys. The oohs and aahs of customers getting their first bite of pastrami.” Watch the episode on Norwegian’s IGTV channel.

Immerse yourself in the sonic landscape of NYC by taking a taxi ride in the iconic yellow cab 🚕🚦 In our next Sounds of a City episode, we hail a cab and meet Chokri Bouallegue, cab driver. “I see the life, energy,” he says. “The people in this city, everybody’s gotta go, quick quick. Take me here, take me there. I love it.” Watch the episode on Norwegian’s IGTV channel.✈️

Experience the unmistakable sounds of NYC by dining like a native New Yorker 🍦🥧🍔 In our third Sounds of a City episode, we visit the “luncheonette” and soda fountain founded in 1925, the Lexington Candy Shop is a blast from the past. “They talk a lot, they laugh,” says waitress Kristina Matut of the Shop’s patrons. “It’s life –that’s New York.” Watch the episode on Norwegian’s IGTV channel.
